KANSAS CITY, Mo. — During the Kansas City Chiefs game last night, Travis Kelce scored his first touchdown of the season on the 13th play. While this might seem trivial, it holds significant meaning for fans who believe in Taylor Swift and her influence, with some dubbing her a modern-day "Mother Nature."
This follows Swift's recent performances in Miami, where she appeared to command the rain to pour after her iconic line in "Look What You Made Me Do": “The old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Oh, 'cause she’s dead!”
At her first two shows in New Orleans, Swift seemed to predict the future for Kelce. During the song "Midnight Rain," the lyric “But he never thinks of me, except when I’m on TV” became a playful moment, allowing her to pose for fans both in the stadium and at home. On the first night in New Orleans, she mimicked NFL quarterbacks by looking around and throwing an imaginary football. The following night, she upped the ante, acting as a referee, yelling “Touchdown” while striking a touchdown pose. For her fans, this was a fun moment, especially considering she performed in the same stadium that will host the Super Bowl this year.
From an outsider's perspective, this might seem like mere coincidence. However, the significance of the number 13 adds intrigue. Kelce scored on the 13th play of the drive, bringing the Chiefs to 13 points, while Swift has 13 shows left in The Eras Tour, and the Chiefs celebrated their 13th consecutive win. To top it off, later that night during her show, Swift mimicked Kelce’s first down gesture, kissed three fingers, and pointed to the crowd, suggesting the Chiefs could achieve three consecutive Super Bowl wins.
